THE ALTERNATIVE CARE
The Alternative Care started in 2007 and has been growing in South London since. We are present in clinics and beauty salons in Clapham Junction, Southfields and Wimbledon Park.
Our main goal is to give you a tailored treatment according to the ailments you come for by using acupuncture, facial/cosmetic acupuncture, massage, guasha, moxibustion or cupping.
The Alternative Care is run by Silene Bricet, Acupuncturist and massage therapist.
Originally coming from France, she has always been involved in alternative medicine and oriental philosophy as her mother is a qi qong instructor.
Silene has a Bsc (Hons) in Chinese medicine from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture.
She originally worked for a year as an apprentice of Liana Duan, a Chinese medicine doctor and learnt with her Chinese techniques that she uses in acupuncture and massage.
She also worked for 16 months at the Gateway clinic, a NHS-funded
clinic that provides acupuncture to residents in Lambeth. The clinic has been operating for 18 years, run by highly experienced practitioners, and is widely recognised for its pioneering work in HIV.
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, she observes a strict
code of practice which lays down stringent standards of hygiene and
sterilization. These procedures have been approved by the Department
of Health.
